    Track and Field Day Tomorrow

    Dear families,

This is a reminder that Track and Field Day for 2nd through 6th grade students is tomorrow at 12:00 PM, Mountaineer Stadium. You are invited to attend. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid-seventies, so please dress your child appropriately for outdoor activities and make sure they bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Refreshments will be available for parents and for 5th and 6th grade students to purchase at the concession stand. However, 2nd through 4th grade students are not permitted to leave the event area to visit the concession stand, so we ask that you do not send them with cash. Instead, ensure they are well-prepared with everything they need for the day, especially water.

We’re looking forward to a fun and active day with our students!

    Seniors' last walk

Today, our seniors took their last walk through the Downtown Campus and North Elementary School—retracing the very halls where their educational journey began.

From wide-eyed kindergarteners to confident graduates, they've grown into young adults ready to take on the world. As they passed familiar classrooms and waved to their former teachers, there were smiles, tears, and so many memories.

To the younger students watching: one day, you’ll be in those caps and gowns too.

To our seniors: thank you for inspiring the next generation and showing us all how far heart, hard work, and a little bit of hometown spirit can take you.

7th/8th Grade End of Year Celebration

Get ready for a day of fun in the sun!

Our 7th and 8th grade students will be heading to Lake Antoine on Monday, June 3rd for an end-of-year celebration. Students will be bussed from the school to the lake in the morning, and we’ll spend the day—from 8:30 AM until the end of the school day—enjoying the outdoors and having a cookout!

Parents are welcome to join us for the day, and all students should be picked up from the lake at the end of the day. We’re also looking for donations to help with the cookout—check out our SignUpGenius to see how you can contribute and make it successful.

Students should come prepared with weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, a towel, and a swimsuit if they plan to swim. They’re also welcome to bring outdoor games, balls, or fishing gear—as long as they can carry and manage it themselves.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Nattiel or Mrs. Peddycord. It’s going to be a great day to make some memories!
