Must be 5 years old by September 1st, 2024 to attend Kindergarten

If a child turns 5 years old between September 1st and December 1st they must sign a waiver to attend Kindergarten or Early-Kindergarten.

Kindergarten students will be screened through their school
Screener’s recommendations for K or EK are valuable!!

Early Kindergarten/ Early K is NOT another year of preschool/head start.
- Children age 5 by September 1, 2024 are eligible for enrollment. Waiver available for up to December 1, 2024. Please contact school by calling 906-779-2626.

Parents registering their children for the first time in Iron Mountain Public Schools must provide proof of residency, identity, age and immunizations.
Students who have previously attended school should bring their latest report card, if available. Students receiving special education services should bring a copy of their current Individualized Education Program (IEP).
