Powerschool Cybersecurity Incident
Dear Mountaineer families,
As a follow-up to our communication on January 8, 2025, PowerSchool, our student information system provider, had experienced a cybersecurity incident. This incident was on PowerSchools end and did not affect other district servers. On January 29, 2025, PowerSchool began notifying individuals whose information was involved. To support those affected, PowerSchool has partnered with Experian to provide identity protection and credit monitoring services to current and former students and educators, regardless of whether their information was impacted. In the coming weeks, Experian will send direct email notifications from Ps-sis-incident@mail.csid.com (or similar addresses) with instructions on activating these services. Parents/guardians are encouraged to monitor their email, visit PowerSchool’s website for more details, or contact the dedicated support line at 833-918-9464 for any questions.
