    IMHS Blood Drive - Give the Gift of Life 🩸

    Iron Mountain High School is proud to host a Community Blood Drive on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Izzo-Mariucci Center. Walk ins Welcome!

    Help save lives in the Upper Peninsula (UP) by donating blood. All donations made with the UP Regional Blood Center stay in the UP by supplying blood to patients in need at all 12 UP hospitals!

    "Morning Sprint": Coffee & Classrooms!

    Parents/Guardians of 6-12th graders!

    We know your mornings are packed, so we built a high-energy event to connect you with your student’s school day and get you back on the road by 8:45 AM!

    Mark your calendar for September 29, 2026 starting at 7:20 AM, for our very first "Coffee & Classrooms." You'll grab a quick cup of coffee and jump right into a fast-forward version of your child’s daily schedule starting at the first bell.

    Event Schedule

    • 7:20 AM: Coffee & Student Breakfast (Cafeteria)
    • 7:35 AM: Brief Welcome from Admin (Central Gym)
    • 7:50 AM: First Bell! We’ll zoom through all 7 periods in under an hour.

    The "Five-Minute" Format

    To keep things moving, you'll spend just 5 minutes in each classroom. Think of it as a highlight reel! Teachers will quickly share:

    • The easiest way to get in touch with them.
    • Major projects and goals for the year.
    • One top tip to help your child succeed.

    We can’t wait to see you for this quick, high-impact start to the year!

    Izzo-Mariucci Center is OPEN!!

    We are thrilled to announce that the Izzo-Mariucci Center, commons area, and gym are officially OPEN! After a long process of renovations, the entire center is now fully upgraded with brand-new A/C to keep you comfortable all season long. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back into the building! Please pardon our progress as we continue to organize, paint and update the entrance area. We're excited to welcome the community, students and families to come through, bring the energy, and root on the Black & Gold! 🖤💛

    Meet the Mountaineers Fall Edition & FUND Drive

    Mark Your Calendars for the Meet the Mountaineers FALL Edition. There will be a FUND DRIVE FUNDRAISER following the event. More information and sign-up below!

    • Meet the Mountaineers is Tuesday, August 25th @ 6:00 PM at the Mountaineer Field/Stadium! Starting at 5:30 PM, concessions and refreshments will be provided by the IMHS Athletic Booster Club. Thank you Booster Club for all you do to support our student-athletes! Please consider joining their amazing team this year. More information will be available at Meet the Mountaineers!
    • FUND DRIVE FUNDRAISER following the event! ** Athletes, PLEASE sign up! **Volunteers will need an adult 18 and older && who's not in high school to drive and 3 athletes to go on the route. Please make sure each athlete signs up on their own with their own email and phone number. After team introductions, the volunteers will meet at the concession stands to get their route and go!

    • EK-3 will be located at North Elementary - North Campus 900 5th St, Iron Mountain, MI
    • 4-5 will be located at North Elementary - Downtown Campus 217 W. Hughitt St. Iron Mountain, MI
    • 6-12 will be located at Iron Mountain Middle and High School 300 W B St, Iron Mountain, MI

    We are very excited to announce that we have reopened the Central building to welcome our 4th and 5th graders. (the building with the cafeteria, original location of Imagination Factory). This building will be aligned with North Elementary, known as "North Elementary - Downtown Campus" in some communications.

    The current North Elementary will still be "North Elementary" to welcome our EK-3rd graders. May be referred to as "North Elementary - North Campus" in some communications.

    The current IMHS building will now be known as "Iron Mountain Middle and High School" to welcome our 6-12th graders.

    2026 Board of Education Elections

    Iron Mountain Public Schools has 2 School Board Seats that will expire December 31, 2026 and will be seeking for elections on the upcoming November 3, 2026 regular school election ballot.

    The open seats are as follows:

    • 4 year term Jan 1, 2027 - Dec 31, 2030
    • 4 year term Jan 1, 2027 - Dec 31, 2030

    The deadline for nominations is 4:00pm on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
