North Elementary Opens New Free Little Library Sponsored by Local Illustrator
North Elementary is excited to share that we now have a brand-new Free Little Library right on our school grounds!
The Lynne Lillge Little Library was made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship by Chelsey Lynne Lillge the Italic Illustrator. Lynne created the library complete with illustrations of beloved characters, and donated dozens of books including from local authors. The Free Little Library will be a space at North Elementary where students, families, and community members can “take a book, leave a book,” and enjoy the simple joy of reading. It’s a great way to build connections, encourage literacy, and make books easily available for everyone.
We are so grateful to Lynne for helping bring this project to life. Their support makes a meaningful difference for our school and community, and we can’t wait to see this little library filled with well-loved stories and new favorites.
Next time you’re at North Elementary, stop by, check it out, and help us keep the love of reading growing!

Remembering 9/11
Each morning, our North Elementary fourth graders proudly raise the American flag as part of their daily routine. Today, on September 11, they lowered the flag to half-mast in remembrance of the lives lost and the heroes who showed great courage on this day in 2001.We are proud of our students for honoring this tradition with respect and care.

Send form emails inviting family, friends and co-workers to support your child by making purchases from the following businesses: Merchant List. 3. Return the Book Buddy Lanyard with the Student Prize Code to school for your child to get their fun participation prize.
Be sure to ask your child for the Book Buddy Lanyard tonight. Your participation will make a difference for our school and teachers!
